Alot of things are happening in and around Benue State since the death of the Pronounced Benue late gang leader in person of Mr. Terwase Akwaza alias Gana. I found something on facebook that was posted by Gaji Tersoo who happens to be the owner of the account, and here is what he exactly posted.
It was about 10:40 pm yesterday when i came back from my normal businesses and wanted to sleep, a private unidentified number came into my phone and it continuously rang for more than four (4) times. On the fifth time, I decided to picked up the call on the ground that sometimes your relation might be desperate somewhere while your attention is needed, pertains to difficult situations these days.
As I picked up the call, it was a guy's thick voice. He called my name straight away; "Gaji Tersoo", I answered him in a burnished manner.
He said; "I have never seen you in person physically but seeing you on different media fora been so concerned about insecurity issues in SHITILE". At this point, I demanded to know his full identity; his name and where he hails from. He said no need for name but he is one among the angry guys in SHITILE who have been used and dumped unsettled by our political leaders in that area.
While discussing, I made him to understand the backwardness, implications of insecurity to a community, the importance and benefits of peace in community development, and so they should drop their firearms and weapons for the sake of peace to reign in SHITILE so that we can reclaim all the lost benefits.
Oh....It's quite unfortunate that these guys are extremely angry and not ready to embrace peace at the moment. He said; "We are ready to kill everybody including you Gaji Tersoo. Since Gana was killed we are not sparing anyone, we will continue to kill so long as some of our guys are still alive".
I told him that, I'm not afraid of him and death because death is inevitable, everybody has his or her God appointed time. And if they kill people like; Hon. Atoza Ihindan, Dr. Terkura Suswam, Dr. Udoo Angôugh, Dr. Apesuur, Rev. Father, 47 Chiefs, 2234 among others, then who am I not to be killed?
After long discussion, I also explained to him to understand that, they are also our brothers and as a matter of fact, the army are also killing them base on their crimes, and so, he should see the reason why there is every need to stop what they are doing. He supported his argument with an adage as he said; "Cars often have accidents on daily basis killing so many people, yet the living are not afraid of entering cars for their journeys. They are not afraid of death accordingly".
As a concerned son of SHITILE, I still insisted to know from him exactly what to do in order to end this incessant killings in our place. He gave me conditions that if strictly adhered to it will bring everlasting solution to our problem. He stated that; the government should withdraw her security men in Shitile, call off the ban order of Okada and duck-nyash, and revenues in the market should be handed over to them as part of their settlement from political leaders.
He further buttressed that, when Gana was alive, he appointed leaders in all the markets who were responsible for collection of these revenues and remiting to him appropriately. And since Gana's death, all their benefits from these markets have been put into shambles by the government.
Again, he maintained that, since they cannot benefit from these markets, no one will benefit from the markets too. And they don't even want to see anybody in the markets in Shitile until their demands are given due attention.
He concluded by saying I'm sending you to deliver this message, he now ended the phone call and I can't call the hide number again.
