Difference Between "I Saw Your Missed Call " And "I Missed Your Call"

Image
When it comes to minor spoken english a lot of us make that mistake. Well you won't blame us because English isn't our very first language even if we are good in speaking the language compare to other African countries. English is advancing everyday and at some point we all are guilty of one or two mistakes when it comes to spoken English. Since the onset of mobile phones manufacturing, so many terms have been introduced. When you don't pick a call on your phone, it becomes a "Missed Calls" and when you pick up, it becomes "Received Calls." Seeing a call on your phone and you are unable to pick it up, it means you actually saw a missed call on phone. Actually the words "I saw your missed calls" is correct in terms of spoken English but that's wrongly used in the speaking context. In this article, I want to tell you the difference between the two phrases. "I saw your missed call" and “I missed your call” both expressions are

Here's what is killing the Music Industry

Image
The music industry is a general term for all the parties involved in the creation, performance, recording, promotion, and management of the business of music. This was popularly known as one of the fastest growing industries in the world but unfortunately it is gradually going down because the government have broken the promise they outlined in 2020 to protect musicians and other creative industries from the impact of Brexit on tours to Europe. The essence of this article is to clearly mention one of the major things that is speedily killing the Music Industry. Piracy is exactly what I'm talking about and it refers to the unauthorised replication of music cassettes that flood the market as soon as the launch of a new release. Music companies' revenues hit hard by the deluge of pirated compact discs and cassettes, as these are available at substantially lower prices compared to that at stores. Sometimes, people indulge in this act because because they don't want to pa

Nigerian Security Forces Should Get Prepared Towards The 2021 Independence Day Celebration

Image
It is no longer news that terrorists activities seems to dominate over Nigeria since the beginning of the year. The issue of Boko Haram, banditry and kidnapping have being heard all over the media as alot of people were victimized, as a result of this many people went into loan collection to pay the demanded ransom before their loved ones were released. Considering the high rate of terrorism in Nigeria and how bandits are launching attacks on communities and people, I am on the opinion that all Nigerian Security Forces should vehemently prepared towards the coming Independence Day against terrorisits. This may sound weird but the truth is, it is better to prevent something from happening than to say had I know. The Federal government should deploy so many security forces to watch over places to safe guard the people from being attacked by gunmen etc. Even as almost everyone will be involved in the celebration, let the military be vigilant to avoid lapses. Regarding to this celeb

The Death Of Gana (Terwase Akwaza) And The Reintegration Of The Repentant Boko Haram Terrorists

Image
Gana was a well pronounced criminal in Benue state and was killed on the 8th September, 2020 by the special force of the Nigerian Army after he surrender for an amnesty program organize by the state government and vow not to involve in criminal activities anymore. Before his death, he was declared wanted by the Nigeria police force after causing the death of several innocent citizens. It was also recorded that the Benue State government placed a bounty of 10 million naira on him before he was killed. It is recently reported that prof. Babagana, the Borno state governor made a case for the reintegration of repentant Boko Haram into the society and also granting them amnesty. The question is "why was Gana not reincorporated rather he was shot dead but the x-terrorists are to be accepted back into the society and granted amnesty"? Looking vehemently into this matter, both the Boko Haram who repented and the late Gana committed servier offence that warrant heavy punishm

Reintegration of Terrorists Should Not Be Considered As An ultimate Option: See Reasons

Image
In the criminal justice system, reintegration is the process a person goes through to reenter society after being in prison. This program is designed to provide assistance to formally incarcreated persons in getting job training and probably finding a job. When someone is reintegrated to the society, he is generally welcomed and forgiven for his atrocities. Most of the people in this category are usually terrorists etc. To fewer but many, reintegration of terrorists poses no danger to the society but in my humble opinion without being sentimental and of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my opinion but rather looking into this headline with perspective distinction and not condemning anyone's point of View regarding this article, I honestly think and believe that reincoroperation of terrorists shouldn't be considered as the best option. This statement may perhaps appear to be irrelevant or confusing to many people but here is my reasons behind wha

OPINION: The Federal Government Should Start Paying Monthly Allowances To Tertiary School Students

Image
An allowance can be termed as a sum of money paid regularly to a person to meet needs or expenses. If you check very, students of tertiary institutions deserve to be given monthly stipends to enable them meet up with school demands. This may not sound good before many but here are the major reasons why I am on the opinion that the Federal government should start paying scholars allowances. 1. It will enable them in buying of handouts and books in school, this can reduce load on their parents. 2. Majority of the scholars are going for lectures by public transport which is a cost of money, so by allocation of money to each of them will go a long way. 3. Since Nigeria has limited scholarships schemes for students, it will help many to even pay their tuition fee. 4. Remember some studenst are sponsoring themselves in school, some are orphans, while some their parents are not financial buoyant to sponsor them but since they have the zeal to acquire knowledge they're struggling by

Reasons Why People Divorce In Nigeria, Number 5 is Very common

Image
Alot of things have being going wrong in marriages across the country which most of us are aware of, the essence of this article is to possibly pinpoint those things which are also reasons why people divorce in Nigeria and beyond. Divorce is the process of terminating a marriage or marital union. Divorce usually entails the canceling or reorganizing of the legal duties and responsibilities of marriage, thus dissolving the bonds of matrimony between a married couple under the rule of law of the particular country or state. In my attempt to find out why people go into terminating their marriages especially in Nigeria, I was able to come out with these 5 reasons. 1. Lack of preparation and proper counseling. It is well known that when one fail to prepare or plan in life he or she is likely to fall. It is good to be well prepared and counseled before going into any union. 2. Lack of Dating. Courtship can be termed as a period during which a couple develop a romantic relationship be
