COVID-19 REQUIRES A DIALOGUE, NOT A MONOLOGUE.

Image
It's perfectly well observed that Monologue has taken over Dialogue when addressing the present Condition being faced by the country, which under normal circumstances is not supposed to be so. A Dialogue is supposed to be the major form of Conversation. Our president have been Monologing Since the interception of this Deadly diseases called Covid-19. He is supposed to be live on Broadcast so so that citizens will also dialogue with him so as to express their feelings but reverse is the case. The president or government should create an avenue where the citizens will be having a direct Dialogue with the President especially during this period of Covid-19. The citizens are having numerous questions to ask the Government and this can achieved through a Direct Dialogue. The President of Federal Republic of Nigeria needs to be live on broadcast so that he can take questions from the journalists too. Coronavirus Response Requires a Dialogue, not a Monologue.

REASONS WHY PEOPLE RUN AWAY FROM MATHEMATICS

Image
The reason why people run away from maths is because it is abstract. E.g. when we say 1+1=2 then we explain giving an example like one apple plus one apple is two apples. The latter statement is much less abstract. You can touch an apple, physically feel it and experience the event of one apple plus one apple creating two apples. But the moment you remove apples, the equation becomes abstract. The  main reasons for hating mathematics ere difficulty in understanding the subject, poor instruction and demand of more time to grasp, but even after which they easily forget what is learnt Now mathematicians take the abstractions to various levels. e.g. Log of a number makes it slightly difficult to reduce it to real life examples. E.g. we try to understand Log of x to the base 10 1. Log of x means - to what value should I raise number 10 to so that the result is x 2 . Raising 10 to a number means multiplying 10 by itself some number of times 3. Multiplication itself means repet

THE POWER OF THE BRAIN.

Image
If there is one thing that makes you different from other animals, it is your ability to think. Humans don't just react to the world as it is: We reflect on the past, imagine what could be, and then plan ways to make our thoughts become reality. Our brain's advanced outer layer, or cortex, enables us to remember past events and predict the future consequences of our actions before we make decisions. We can think about thinking, and use language to exchange these thoughts with others. How it Works Your brain is a key to your intelligence. There are many different ways to define and measure intelligence, though, because it involves many kinds of thinking and uses many parts of the brain. Intelligence includes things like processing speed, memory, empathy, creativity, and connectivity--and the ability to knit these all together. Where does your unique, individual intelligence come from? Some of your abilities are encoded in your DNA. But your brain is also shaped by your in

In one of her story book titled  “What goes around comes around”  she laid serious emphasis on the need to treat someone rationally for no one knows what tomorrow holds. Always remember The Golden rule which says “treat others as you would like them to treat you”. This moral in various forms has been used as a basis for society in many cultures and civilizations. It is  called “the golden   rule”  because there is value in having this kind of respect and caring attitude for one another. As she charge us from the book of  Matthew 7:2. For with the same judgment you pronounce, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. She also said it is good for us to have a forgiving heart as the Bible said in the book of  Matthew 6: 14. For if you forgive other people when they s

MEDIA INFLUENCE ON SOCIETY; BOTH THE NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE INFLUENCE.

Image
Media has positive impact on the society as long as it is free from political compulsion and the monetary perspective. Media was encouraged by the governments to influence the public opinion. This influence was for the betterment of the country or for personal gains. The media has ruled the masses for a quite longtime until its monopoly was destroyed by the social media. If not for social media, there was no looking back for media for it viscous run at the risk of destruction of the society and nation as a whole. Some media outlets were started for pure nationalistic benefits like to encourage freedom struggle, economic development and democratic prosperity. But some media outlets owned by the rich and political figures were meant to garner personal gains in the form of power, wealth or fame without the regard for the suffering of the common man or the nation. Below are the Media influences on society in both positive and negative ways. I must have started with the posi
